Amidst a two-hundred-year-old pine forest and bathed to the north by the Duero river,
we discover a unique spot which brings landscape, tradition, and charm together.

THE ESTATE

Finca Villacreces, right in the heart of Ribera del Duero's Golden Mile.

This vineyard is divided into 15 plots of tinto fino, cabernet sauvignon and merlot varieties, which are interspersed with a centenary pine forest, not only of enormous environmental importance, but also as truly beautiful natural landscape.

Finca Villacreces stands out as a unique vineyard, conditioned by the diversity of soils where it is planted, ranging from extremely sandy areas near the pines, to very stony terrain where the pebbles from the alluvial deposition of the Duero river predominate. The poor soil naturally guarantees low yields of around 4,000 kg/hectare.

A 110-hectare estate, 64 of which are vineyards.

Finca Villacreces is planted at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level and is subject to an extreme climate, with large temperature fluctuations, long winters, and dry summers with low rainfall. However, the forest which surrounds the estate affords it a special microclimate which protects the vineyard from the most aggressive climatic conditions.

Nestled on a meander of the Douro River.

At Finca Villacreces we strive for quality-focused viticulture, where the vineyard is self-regulated to limit production to less than 2 kilos per vine. At the same time, these vineyards are cultivated following integrated viticulture criteria, where the vine's natural condition is controlled and preserved in order to obtain wines with the unique Villacreces typicity and personality.
